Dear Diary,
Today we're on our way to Grand Canyon. We're in Flagstaff right now.
We just got back from Dairy Queen and we're at the Sno Bowl.
Kern Dropped her shoe half way down. I had to get it.
The photo above is me posing with the backdrop of the Grand Canyon and a beautiful sunset. I LOVED the feather "roach clip" my parent's bought for me in a little shop on our way. Of course, I did not know what that was. I only knew the ornately beaded clip was handy to attach the grand, white wispy feathers to my hair where they could dangle and blow in the wind. They also got us all moccasins.
Dairy Queen meant road trip! The only time we ate there growing up was when we were on the road headed somewhere. I still see Dairy Queen signs and think about childhood vacations via four wheels.
As for the Sno Bowl, it is a ski resort and we took the ski lift up to see the amazing mountain vistas. My younger sister's newly purchased moccasin fell off of her foot, and somehow I was the elected person to hike up under the ski lift to retrieve it for her.
I loved that shirt. My shorts matched. Memories...
